NEED #5648 | Past Due Rent for Single Mother

WATAUGA | We are working with a single mother who is struggling to raise her children on her own after her husband went back on their agreement to share expenses 50/50. She is now responsible for 100% of the rent and bills, and has used all her savings to purchase a new vehicle since her husband left with the only car they had. She has found a new place that is more affordable, but she owes more than $1,000 in back rent payments to her current landlord. We are working with several agencies to fill this need, and have pledged $500 from our Home for the Holidays fund to help keep her in her home until she is able to move. But we would like to raise an additional $500 to help erase her rent debt and help make this difficult time easier for her and her family.
