A hard-working mom who’s weathered more than her share of storms—literally—is facing a new challenge this winter.

After being displaced twice by the impact of Hurricane Helene, she’s done everything she can to rebuild stability for her family. She’s spent down her savings replacing essentials that weren’t covered by renters’ insurance and keeping her car running so she can get to work each day.
