Help Us Give This Young Man the Road to His Future

An 18-year-old young man in our community has overcome more in his short life than most of us could imagine. He and his 23-year-old sister escaped a harmful home environment years ago, and since then, they’ve had no family support—just each other.

Against the odds, he graduated from high school this year and earned acceptance to Appalachian State University for the upcoming semester. With Pell Grants and scholarships, he can cover tuition—but that’s only part of the journey.

He’s been working hard at a local retailer, saving diligently to buy a car so he can get to school and work without relying on friends or his sister. He achieved that goal—but now, he’s hit a roadblock: the cost of car insurance.

Without insurance, his car sits unused. Without his car, his education and job are at risk.

Quiet Givers is stepping in to help. Our goal is to raise enough to cover 6 months of car insurance, giving him the runway to work, save, and take the wheel—literally and figuratively—in building his future.

This young man has worked so hard, asked for so little, and deserves the chance to succeed.
