SON FORCED TO PLACE WW2 VETERAN DAD IN ASSISTED LIVING DURING HELENE NEEDS HELP

Local family had to place their 99 year old father in assisted living temporarily during Helene due to a mudslide that caused damage to the son's house. The son has taken care of the father for years. This was not an expected stay, there was no time for approvals or special applications. He just wanted to make sure his father was safe. The son has completed the major repairs, but he needs one more week to make it completely ready for his dad. This was an unexpected cost for the patient and his son. The patient's son must replace his vehicle, firewood, and driveway/bridge. Due to these unexpected costs, they need assistance covering the patient's bill for his stay.
