NEED #6189 | Medical Device for Patient in Need

WATAUGA | We are working with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Institute for Health and Human Services at Appalachian State University to assist a patient who is in urgent need of a medical device that has been prescribed by their speech and language pathologist. The patient occasionally aspirates liquid into the airway and has trouble coughing the liquid out making this a choking hazard. This device will help train and improve their cough response and reduce their choking risk. The device is $54.99, which the patient cannot afford at this time.
