This week we are partnering with the ACCESS Program at Appalachian State University. The ACCESS Program is designed to help low-income and first generation college students by providing school supplies and other tools they need to help them along the way. There are approximately 50 ASU students that quality for this program every year. Many of these students do not have support systems at home, and are in need of basic school supplies such as binders, notebooks, pencils, pens, zip drives, and backpacks.
Currently, the program is seeking to put together a loaning library of 5 graphing calculators, 5 scientific calculators, and 3 iPads that will be available to be checked out by ACCESS students, and then returned at the end of the semester. These devices will be professionally maintained by the university.
If you are able to donate any of these items, or would be willing to donate toward the purchase of any of these items, please send us a private message. Thank you so much!
