WATAUGA | The Children’s Council has referred a family to us that has been saving for 3 years to purchase their own home. They’ve been given some land by a family member and they have just purchased a manufactured home and it has been moved on to their new property. The home is set up and ready for them to move in except they need help paying for having the power lines run from the main road to the home. This family has spent all their extra money, stimulus checks, and tax refund to get to this point. They’ve had several unexpected expenses. The husband and other family has been able to do all the clearing land, cutting trees, grading, run water lines, etc. themselves to save on cost. This is a very hardworking family and has not ask for help with this until now, but the lease on their apartment expires at the end of this month and they have to move into the new home. After working with the electric company and other organizations in the area, all that is left to fill this need is $300 to get their electricity connected. This family is so close to a new home and a new life and we would like to help them over the finish line. If you would like to contribute toward this need, please click on the button below. Thank you!
